Key Ingredients: Coriander, cumin, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, red chilli, turmeric, dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi), and garam masala — a warm, earthy blend that gives Dal Makhni its signature depth.
How to Use: Soak whole black lentils (urad dal) and kidney beans overnight. Pressure cook until soft, then simmer with butter, cream, onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, and this masala blend. The longer it simmers, the richer it gets — just like it should be.
